About College Basketball

It was in 1891 that basketball was first appeared. Because students were not taking any physical education classes in winter, there was a need for a kind of sport that would draw students to practice, and James Naismith invented the game. By 1900, sport was becoming popular in different colleges and teams started to be formed. The first national tournament was National Invitation Tournament (NIT) in 1938. At the beginning, basketball was played by soccer ball until late 1950s that orange ball was introduced. For College basketball, it is the competitive structure created by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in which high schools, colleges, universities teams compete.

College basketball is considered one of the most followed sports live. And one of the big and marking competitions is March Madness as March is the yearly time in which the teams compete to know the best team. There are of course other competitions such as NCAA Tournament or Final Four but they are not at the height of March Madness. Hence, avid fans are ready to pay high prices in turn of March Madness tickets because of the importance the event has in the league. And this does not mean that NCAA Tournament tickets or Final Four tickets are not ordered, but they are in high demand as well.
