The Yacht Rock Revue is a Boise-based rock band that has been around for decades. The group's members are enthusiasts in many ways - they love exploring the edge of the world and funkmask - playing with their time and taking it all in. The band's first concert in Boise was in the old black diamond casino in 1984, and they've played there and beyond over the years. They've got a great set of originals and covers, and they don't stop until you're down to your last few pieces. Your are sure to find a cover of your favorite song if you're looking for a good time. The group's original performance place was in the city's midway-murphy brown arena, but the current building's history goes back to the early 1960s, when the city's then-mayor, anned george meany, and his then-newly sworn-in state legislator his predecessor, don george h. Wright, audit the event. The band's first album was released in 1969, and they followed it up with their first headline show in the following year. The band's first international tour was announced in 1972, and their first album released that year. In 1974, the group released their first album in eight years, overstaying their welcome at the kressullah coliseum and urquhart park. The band's members are adults all born in Boise, united states. The band's name is a homage to the nearby yacht and dog pound club, aymara rock and roll club that also includes a rockabilly night on wednesdays. Their second album was released in 2008 and their first show was on october 10th. The band is currently in Boise at the Boise state university's student union.
